Description of project: As Independent consultant, In consultation with the IFC project team and the Ghana Commodity Exchange: in delivered following

Conducted an internal and external assessment which considered existing internal resources to identify the gaps in implementation of the WRS. This was critical for benchmarking the project.

Worked with the Ghana Commodity Exchange to develop and deliver the model for the establishment of an electronic Warehouse Receipts platform and its interface with the Commodities Exchange to include detailed activities, dependencies between activities and sequencing.

Identified and suggested the mechanism to develop the link between warehousing and the commodity exchange itself.

Developed the procedures and process with warehouse receipts, data transmission, flexibility and security.

Recommended the available existing external warehousing resources together with interested potential reputable international partners.

Developed the procedures concerning expressions of interest from suitable potential national and international warehouse operators for the licensed warehouse operations.

Developed the mechanism for incorporating the international best practice and recommendations for a well-functioning WRS linked to the commodity exchange, including sustainability of the system.

Developed and delivered a training program and materials on Warehouse receipt financing for financial institutions.
